Review of Bad Romeo

TITLE : Bad Romeo
AUTHOR: Leisa Rayven
No. Pages: 462
NOTE : 05/05

Synopsis:

When Cassie Taylor met Ethan Holt at acting school, sparks flew. She was the good girl actress. He was the bad boy about campus. But one fated casting choice for Romeo and Juliet changed it all. Like the characters they were playing, Cassie and Ethan's romance seemed destined. Until he broke her heart and betrayed her trust. Now the A-list heartthrob is back in her life and turning her world around. One touch at a time.

Cast as romantic leads once again, they're forced to confront raw memories of the heartbreaking lows and pulse-pounding highs of their secret college affair. But they'll also discover that people who rub each other the wrong way often make the best sparks

It's an engaging , funny and dramatic book.

From the first line had caught me , something few books have made me.
Let's begin with the plot:

Cassie is a very peculiar girl, wants to be accepted and to please all, due to the fact that always I look for the
acceptance of his parents. With 19 years of age even it continued being protected and controlled for them. Now that finally is going to go to university, she took the decision of what really wanted, meaning to travel far from his home to go in search of his dream that was the action, though his parents were not 100 % of agreement.

Ethan Holt is the bad boy who conquers to all women readers. And though it is not completely bad, it manages to break Cassie's heart.

Cassie and Ethan do his hearing in the same school of action, which name is The Grove. And though it is the first attempt for Cassie, for Ethan it is the third and last
opportunity. For what they will have to demonstrate that they are really good to obtain a place inside.

They will begin to studying together. Nevertheless, Ethan clarifies Cassie that they will not be friends and she is to stay clear of him. But the destination is playing tricks, since, The grove chooses them as protagonists of the famous play of William Shakespeare " Romeo and Juliet ".

The history is narrated in two times: past and present, from Cassie's point of view. We initiate in the present with a bit of intrigue for knowing that so much it happened in order that it was acting of this form with the protagonist.

During the reading, you realize that you do not know actually which time you prefer more. And every that finishes a chapter you feel the need to know mas and mas. It is not sufficient.

Leisa Rayven transmits with his words and his way of narrating, since you can feel part of the history, as if in this moment you were the protagonist and were taking another life.

Honestly, I had no expectations of this book because it was not part of my list of books to read . Only one day , I went to the library and read the synopsis . Seriously, for anything I regret . On the contrary, it would want to have read it a bit before.

I remember not even notice the number of pages where I was, until it reaches a point where I said : << Is it all ? There must be more pages. I want more >> .

It is for this reason that I give it 5 stars . It is one of the few books that have made me change my mind and this has left me with mouth open.

If you have already read the book, tell me what you think about it . And if not, What are you waiting for?

About the Author:

Writing has always been a passion for Leisa, and even though she originally intended to be an actress, it wasn't long into her time at drama school that she began writing plays.

Those plays were bad. Very bad. Well, her friends thought they were good, but that's because they were always cast in them and any opportunity to be on stage was met with an obnoxious amount of enthusiasm.

Since then, she's honed her craft, and several of her plays have been produced and toured throughout Australia.

These days, playwriting has given way to fiction writing, and her debut novel, BAD ROMEO, will be available in a worldwide release through Macmillan Publishing in December 2014. The sequel, BROKEN JULIET, will be available in April 2015.

Leisa lives in Australia with her husband, two little boys, three judgemental cats, and a kangaroo named Howard. (*NB: Howard may or may not be her imaginary marsupial friend. Everyone should have one.*)
